koh phi phi beach

Situated in the Andaman sea amongst breathtaking lime rock formations, Koh Phi-Phi's twin islands, Phi-Phi Don and Phi-Phi Ley, are equal distance from both Krabi and Phuket and easily accessible from both.

The most popular spot is Tonsai Beach, situated in the "lungs" of Phi-Phi Don. Along here are beautiful bunglow complexes and beachfront restaurants and bars.

Nightime on Phi-Phi is a fairly relaxed time for most. There are a few places to really go wild and let your hair down and also some excellent restaurants to sample the local delights. Pretty much something for everyone.

With more and more visitors each year, plus having the Hollywood movie "The Beach" filmed here, prices are now increasing with demand but despite this, Phi-Phi still makes a worthwhile trip.

Phi Phi's islands may not be big, but they're a monster-sized playground. Diving and snorkelling top the list of exciting ways to spend a day (or three), and the clear waters around Phi Phi are perfect for checking out the rich marine life.

Phi Phi what to do

Hire a longtail boat – the beach-to-beach water taxi of choice – and let a local show you the area's many remote beaches and private coves. Cliff diving, sunbathing, reading, exercising, hiking, rock climbing – the possibilities are plentiful.
